Kinship, Fostercare & Adoption
In James 1:27, we are asked to look after orphans. Body of Christ Church actively addresses the needs of orphans both locally and through its missions efforts in Ghana. The common thread between kinship care, foster care and adoption is the fact that children are being raised by someone other than their birth parents. The story of Moses’ childhood is an early example of this concept. Despite the obstacles he faced, Moses grew into a strong man of God who fulfilled his purpose as a leader.
We are challenging people to look beyond genetics and to allow God to use you as a vessel to improve the lives of the growing number of young people in custody of the state.
As of September 2009, in Wake County there were 546 children within the child care system with 62.8% of them being African American. We invite you to support this effort. Contact us if you have a desire to serve in this ministry or learn about becoming an adoptive or foster parent.
The purpose of the Outreach ministry is to model Christ’s concern for people, both individually and collectively in communities. We reach those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through a clear, relevant Gospel presentation.

The goal of the website ministry is to maintain an internet and email presence for BOCC. This includes maintaining email lists for the church staff and ministries, and developing a presence with social media such as Facebook and Twitter. The website is split into a public area and a private members area. The public area is intended to convey information about the church to the community and the world. The private area is for more confidential items such as prayer lists, leader contact information, forms, etc. The goal of the web ministry in this area is to provide a public area for BOCC information and also to provide any resources to ministries for their internet needs.
